The second edition of Convergence, a cultural initiative fostering dialogue among people from diverse backgrounds, took place on March 29-30, 2025, at Corpus Christi College in Oxford.

The theme of the conference was True Companionship: Solitude and Belonging, and addressed one of the most pressing issues of our time: the epidemic of loneliness permeating modern society.

The Walker Institute Director, prof. Rosalind Cornforth, joined a panel discussion alongside Prof Sir Brian Hoskins FRS, and Dr Ben Wilson with the title: Nothing in this world is indifferent to us: the quest for an integral ecology. The panel examined the human dimension of climate change, exploring how an understanding of the place of humans in the natural environment can contribute towards climate science, climate communication and policy development.
