We, in the Walker Institute, are Co-Is in the EU Horizon funded ClimTip project that kicked-off in March 2024. The project aims to quantify the impacts of climate tipping points on Earth systems resilience. Our contribution will focus on the socio-economic repercussions of climate tipping on the lives and livelihoods of people living in the African Sahel (WP14), in the event of a disruption in the West Africa Monsoon. We are also partly responsible for capacity building for key stakeholders (WP17).
