UNFCCC student engagement: What is happening at COP30 with The Pearl (formerly Walker Institute); Green Festival Event

The Pearl (formerly Walker Institute) will be supporting the Green Festival organised in the University of Reading from 11 to 13 November 2025. We are delivering a special panel discussion session dedicated to COP30.

This session will feature reflections from PhD students involved in climate action, a showcase of the COP Climate Action Studio, and a live link to COP30 in Brazil where our university delegate, Professor Emmanuel Essah, Head of the School of the Built Environment, will share updates directly from the negotiations.

Join us to explore how our university community is engaging with global climate policy and contributing to a more sustainable future. We would love to see you all in person; however, if your schedule does not permit it, you can join us remotely.
