Biography

Dan Bebber is a Professor in Ecology at the University of Exeter, holding a MA and DPhil from the University of Oxford. With a career spanning environmental consultancy, academic research, and leadership roles, he has become an internationally recognized expert in modeling the distributions and impacts of crop pests and pathogens. His primary research focuses on sustainable agriculture, particularly the ecology and evolution of fungal crop pathogens and the effects of climate change on crop production. Dan has a strong commitment to innovative teaching, demonstrated through various roles as a Course Director, Module Coordinator, and Education Incubator Fellow. He has developed and introduced courses/modules, including a flipped classroom approach and a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) on sustainable food systems.
