Biography

Passionate about developing innovative research partnerships that tackle the most pressing climate and development challenges and deliver impact towards more equitable futures for all. I pursue an interdisciplinary impact-focused research agenda, bridging geography, critical social sciences, and behavioural approaches, focused on supporting adaptation to climate change in Africa and the UK. I focus on partnering with and advising NGOs, UK and international governments and industry bodies to devise action research programmes and sector strategies that are climate resilient and enhance inclusion for the poorest and most vulnerable to climate change globally. I am currently co-Principal Investigator of the BASIN project that employs behavioural approaches to enhance climate resilience and inclusion in African water security. I am also co-Director of the ATTENUATE Project which is enhancing enabling environments for adaptation finance, and a contributing author to the fourth UK Climate Change Risk Assessment (Economy).
